The Outlook Group believes in serious journalism and in journalism for social good. We take up issues that are relevant to India. We initiate conversations so that India progresses. And whatever we do, we keep the people of the country in mind. Nutrition is one such issue, which does not get the kind of attention that it should. We want nutrition to become a household word and that is why Outlook Poshan. We are inspired by Poshan Abhiyaan, Government of India’s flagship initiative to eradicate malnutrition from India. The Outlook Group has always been different. We do not flow with the tide. We take up issues which others don’t. This is not just a brand positioning for us. We sincerely believe in this. We want nutrition to be spoken about, discussed, and become a part of the everyday conversation in every household. Outlook has a great name and a reputation. When we decided to get into the nutrition space, we reached out to a cross section of people with tremendous domain knowledge on nutrition: friends and professionals who have great expertise, senior bureaucrats who have worked on the field, civil society members who are bringing in innovations and best practices and academics who know how to apply their knowledge. I am glad to say that everyone responded positively and came on board. That has been a great beginning for Outlook Poshan. Our endeavour is to spread the word on nutrition. We have ambitious plans and we hope to make a lot of difference on the ground.
